Song of the Day - Day 41

Today's song is...

It's Kickin' In

Terrible fan confession: I recently realized I have no idea what the words of this song are. Which is sad since, being someone who usually prefers Linnell's songs, this is one the Flansburg songs that I particularly enjoy. It has just been suggested that I need to listen to the song while reading the lyrics so that I can learn the words. This is not a half bad idea.

  1. "Some disaffected waitress in some fake foreign accent" is one of my favorite TMBG lyrics and I can't explain why. I don't think it's one of their best songs and I don't listen to it a ton, but I always enjoy it when I do. It just has great energy.

  2. Probably my least favorite song off one of my favorite albums. But I agree that it has great energy!

  3. I tend to have one song on an album that I like a lot right off the bat, but it's usually an unpopular song. It's Kickin' In is sort of this way. Now I realize it's not amazing, but I still have a fondness for the song.

"I can't understand your accent," is one of the best easter egg-like things in a TMBG song.
