I don't have any particular feelings on this song. It's a little weird. But I am always entertained by Flansburgh's slideshow videos. They are so very random.

I don't know why it took me as long as it did to pay more attention to this song, but one evening when watching the accompanying slideshow, it clicked with me for the first time. The megaphone vocal effect, sometimes one, sometimes two deep, the inexplicable disappearance and reappearance of the rhythm track, the way it never feels settled, and the consistent harmony in thirds... it's not a work of genius, and it doesn't ever go anywhere, but it is really beautiful.
