Good song. Excellent example of Linnell's way with words. I enjoy the guitar part and the sped up tempo thing at the end. Not counting the original radio performance, I was there the first time this was performed live at a show. I have no memory of it and have never heard it again, which is kind of sad.

I remember loving this song when it was released on the podcast. I distinctly remember listening to this very early in the morning before school very early on in my high school career. For a while I preferred the version on 6B than I did to the one on The Else. I've learned to love both.
ReplyDeleteLove this one! Love the subject matter, the way the lyrics portray it, the melody, and the sped-up tempo thing! As reluctant as I am to choose favorites in general, this may be my favorite song from The Else.
ReplyDeleteMan it's funny. It's a damn good song, but because it's sitting on The Else, it's hard to rise above the rest. I don't really like the sped up ending so much if I think about the song on its own, but when I think about it as a part on the album, I like it again :-) . Fun lyrics, and I like how the chorus gets longer.
