Hopeless Bleak Despair
I want to say this is the perfect example of the cheerful melody with total downer lyrics but I'm not sure I can quite call this melody cheerful. It's got the full rock treatment going on, especially in the chorus but it's not quite cheerful. It's a touch morose. I can't quite decide how I feel about this one. I think lyrically it might actually be a little too much of a downer for me. The end is a total gotcha, but then also a total bummer. But melodically I enjoy it.
